BUILT WITH BOSCH

BUILT WITH BOSCH

Building one of the world’s most challenging MTB course in a hilly and remote area of Tasmania, requires world-class cordless tools with extreme power, reliability, and superb battery technology. It’s unmatched power, portability and efficiency of the 18V BITURBO 305mm GLIDE Mitre SAW (GCM 18V-305 GDC) made it a perfect tool to build the ramp leading to the most daunting feature of the course – the monumental 19.8m wide road gap.

For fixings, the Red Bull team used the 18V 2-in-1 Impact Driver and Wrench which is the only 2-in-1 wrench and driver on the market. As a result, they have one less tool to carry around on those steep hills providing smashing efficiency.

Once they finished the build, they used the 18V BITURBO Garden Blower with 780 m3/h airflow and up to 189 km/h air speed to remove any unwanted debris from the course to make it ready for the test rides.

RAMPED-UP PRECISION

To ensure laser precision and perfect alignment at every feature of the course, the Red Bull team used the Bosch Professional 100m Distance measurer (GLM 100-25 C). This professional outdoor laser measure features a digital camera viewfinder with a zoom function that precisely measures distances up to 100m. But this versatile tool wasn’t just used for the course build it also played a part in preparing the athletes for the race, giving accurate information on each challenging feature of the course. Such as the exactly 19.8m wide road gap.
