WHICH DUST EXTRACTION CLASS DO YOU NEED?

Our dust extractors are rated according to the L, M, H dust classes to help you achieve compliance.

L, M, H is a standard for rating dust extractors (European Standard EN/IEC 60335-2-69 Appendix AA). It is widely used in the European Union, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. It helps you quickly identify the level of protection offered by a dust extractor thanks to a visible, standardized rating: Low, Medium, or High.

For low-risk dust: Household dust, gypsum, plaster, soil, lime, etc.

Why users like it: Entry-level and affordable.

To qualify for L Class, dust extractors must have:

  • Filtration efficiency: >99%

M CLASS

For medium-risk dust: Silica, soft wood, hard wood, metals, paint, plastics, sand, pebbles, etc

Why users like it: Sufficient for many materials and applications on the jobsite.

To qualify for M Class, dust extractors must have:

  • Filtration efficiency: >99.9%
  • Airflow speed is measured.
  • Alarm sounds when suction rate drops.

  • Low-dust disposal of filter and dust bag.

To qualify for H Class, dust extractors must have:

  • Filtration efficiency: >99.995%
  • Airflow speed is measured.
  • Alarm sounds when suction rate drops.
  • Near-zero leakage to prevent contaminated air from escaping.
  • No-dust disposal of filter and dust bag.
  • Filter accessible only with a screwdriver.

Auto Filter Cleaning

As filters get too clogged with dust, filter performance falls over time, leading to weaker airflow and extraction. To ensure effective dust capture and protection, it’s important to keep your filter clean. With AFC, your dust extractor takes care of it for you:

  • How it works: Reverses airflow every 15sec. (with an audible "bang") to dislodge dust from the filter.
  • Higher performance: Clean filters give you consistent airflow and a high filtration rate.
  • Longer lifetimes: Prevent clogged filters.
We also offer dust extractors with Semi-Automatic Filter Cleaning (SFC) or manual cleaning.

Dust and hair sticking to the hose and the occasional static shock. Sounds familiar? Anti-static hoses are designed to conduct electricity to the ground, discharging the static buildup – so you can focus and work comfortably. We make it easy for you to tell which of our hoses are anti-static:

Black or grey colour: Regular hose
Blue colour: Anti-static hose

Length

Our hoses range from 1.6m to 5m in length.

A long hose gives you more freedom and ease of movement. But it will take in more air volume and increase the air friction, lowering the suction power.

A shorter hose restricts your movements, but it does offer higher suction power. This makes it more suitable for picking up debris.

Diameter

Our dust extractors (GAS 35/55 series) come with a 35mm diameter hose. A 22mm diamter hose is available separately.

A larger hose diameter pulls in more air, making it more suitable for airborne dust particles.

A smaller hose diameter gets faster airflow and more suction power, making it more suitable for picking up debris.

Filter FAQ
How to choose a filter cleaning system?

There are 3 filter cleaning systems:

  • Automatic Filter Cleaning (AFC): Your dust extractor automatically cleans the filter every 15 seconds.
  • Semi-Automatic Filter Cleaning (SFC): You can decide when to clean the filter based on the application and amount of dust. To activate SFC, simply push a button or switch on the dust extractor.
  • Manual: Filter must be manually removed and cleaned at regular intervals. Suitable for low-dust applications.


Dust disposal FAQ
How to install and remove dust bags?

Wear PPE to avoid inhaling dust during disposal.

How to install dust bags:
1. Open up the dust extractor and line it with the dust bag.
2. Make sure the dust bag is attached to the extraction outlet.
3. AFC extractors have a small metal pin at the rim. Make sure this pin pokes through the dust bag for electrical contact with the lid, otherwise AFC will not work.

How to remove of dust bags:
1. Open up the dust extractor.
2. Gently detach the dust bag from the extraction outlet and seal the opening on the bag.
3. Seal the dust bag is securely, e.g. with a zip tie. Any holes should be carefully sealed to prevent leakage.
