Replacing the sponge/lambswool bonnet (see figure A)

To remove the sponge/lambswool bonnet (7), lift it from the side and pull it from the backing pad (4).

Remove dirt and dust from the backing pad (4), e.g. using a paintbrush, before attaching a new sponge/lambswool bonnet.

The surface of the backing pad (4) is fitted with a hook-and-loop fastening, allowing a sponge/lambswool bonnet with a hook-and-loop backing to be secured quickly and easily.

Press the sponge/lambswool bonnet (7) firmly against the underside of the backing pad in the centre (4).

To increase the service life of the backing pad, in particular when using net abrasives (e.g. Bosch M480), apply the Pad Saver (accessory) between the backing pad and polish.
