Replacing the backing pad (see figure B)

Note: Replace damaged backing pads (4) immediately.

Remove the sponge/lambswool bonnet. Unscrew the 4 screws (9) completely (using a T20 screwdriver) and remove the backing pad (4). Attach the new backing pad (4) and retighten the screws.

Note: When attaching the backing pad, make sure that the teeth of the catch mate with the recesses in the backing pad.

Note: Damaged backing pad holders (8) must only be replaced by an after-sales service centre authorised to work with Bosch power tools.
