Starting Operation

Open the lid (5) of the soldering station. The lid can be locked into place at 3 different opening angles.

To switch on the soldering iron, press the on/off switch (8). The status indicator (12) lights up.

Use the temperature control (8) to continuously adjust the soldering temperature between 250 °C and 450 °C. Turn the temperature control (8) with the arrow marking to the required temperature according to the labelling on the temperature control.

To switch off the soldering iron, press the on/off switch (8). The status indicator (12) flashes red.

Insert the soldering pin (4) into the pin holder (6) in the lid of the soldering station as far as it will go. Fold the lid (5) down over on the soldering station (9).

To conserve battery life and protect the soldering tip, the soldering iron automatically switches to Standby Modus 15 minutes after the on/off button/temperature control (8) is last pressed or turned. To do this, lower the temperature of the soldering tip to 250 °C; the status indicator (12) flashes yellow.

To activate the soldering iron, push or turn the on/off switch/temperature control (8). Standby Modus ends and the soldering tip heats up to the set temperature (the status indicator (12) flashes green).

If the soldering iron is not used, it will switch off automatically after 45 minutes in Standby Modus.

Note: If you wish to switch off the soldering iron whilst it is in Standby Modus, press the on/off switch (8) once to activate it and then press it again to switch it off.

The status indicator (12) indicates the temperature of the soldering tip:

Status indicator

Meaning

Flashes green

The soldering tip is heated/cooled until the set temperature is reached.

Lights up green

The set temperature has been reached.

Flashes yellow

Standby Modus (temperature is reduced to 250 °C)

Flashes red

The soldering tip cools down after switching off.

Note: If the battery is removed immediately after switching off, the status indicator (12) goes out and no longer warns of the hot soldering tip. Insert the soldering pin (4) into the pin holder (6) in the lid of the soldering station to prevent accidental contact with the soldering tip.
